Another celestial horse piece...I really like working in that style now. Don't worry, I will still do traditional digi painting, but I started on Xanthus' sketch and it just felt like it needed to be done in see-thru-style. And I'm really happy with the way it turned out. Not to mention that Xanthus was really fun to draw. The background was fun too, hehe. And now I'm just flat out exhausted from doing this all in one sitting. But I think it turned out well and I got a fair amount of emotion across in the piece. So g'night everybody.

Take my breath away, why don't you! That's absolutely beautiful, and away'n'gone an improvement over your previous piece in this style. The musculature you highlighted makes sense even to this non-horse-enthusiast (and you even kept it consistent through that shoulder marking! That's impressive, given how many times I've seen artists forget about that sort of thing).

And yes, thanks to your comment on my last piece in this style, I really tried to pay attention to the form and placement of the highlights on this one. But yeah, I hate having "floating" markings that don't even look like they're a part of the horse. That's definitely one of my quirky pet peeves.
