Description So, this reference photo of uruha was on my desktop, and i remembered someone telling me to look at artwork at different angles in order to see all the errors i've been making.

So I turned his photo upside down and sketched him.

Real quick hour sketch on a rough drawing paper.

I challenge you to try drawing upside down! see how different your art looks (and how different you'll feel) drawing at an unfamiliar position~

Drawing upside down seems like a bit of cheelenange, but looking at your result it makes me want to try it as well, but I'm afraid it may be massive fail ^^' But you did really good job on this one

you never know if it'll be a massive fail--for some people, it actually improved their drawings so please try it and send me a link!

I've tried it, and have to say that I draw it much more faster than usually, and also I never draw women, but I'm not s sure if it actually does look like the person which I draw...and I already showed it to 3 persons, so I guess it's not good after all. Anyway, here's the result, [link] , it took me about 20 minutes.

Lol, it's really small in actual size so there aren't many details I could it in anyways and thus an hour or so~

Thanks~

I do that too a lot, makes things easier, drawing it faster and you can recognize the mistakes easily
I truly liked your lines here, I'm sure if you draw with this method again you will have a new style in lining

it never occurred to me that people do that, really! but yeah, when i turned my other art the other way, i was so embarrassed at all the lines i thought was good--and really they were super off!

thanks kyu~ I'm not sure if it'll be my new style but i have to admit, i really had fun drawing upside down~ cheers for the new year!

Drawing upside-down? That's pretty interesting.

I'd say I need to practice 10x more than how much I sketch on a weekly basis. xD

This is a great sketch. Keep up the good work, always!
