Description This was something I drew last November but haven't posted til now.
I found the original photo to look classy/vintage-looking and I absolutely adored it. I took a photo before but only had time to scan it today hence the upload.

You are frigging awesome! I never success to make my shading as dark as this and I really want to!

Haha, thanks~ well, it took me a while to finally pick up the darker graphites--my comfort zone was always up to 3B and I wouldn't go any further in fear that it would ruin what I'd already done.
Now that I know it really makes my drawings pop, I'm always tempted to go back and fix up my old drawings, teehee!

I think it's also the paper--it's sorta off-white and scans gray, which can sometimes be annoying. idk... XD

but your pieces look fine as it is! but if you wanted it to really look like it does in real life, there are some tutorials on here on how to fix the scanning/photo so it looks more like it should be when you'd be holding it in your hand. I found some of them quite useful~

Wow! Thank you for the long reply! I too, used to draw my drawings very light because I was unsure where I should put the darkest shadows but now I get the hang of it.
I'll try to find these tutorials, and if you know of any, let me know! My scanner sucks really bad.

just search tutorials folder for proper scanning--or sometimes, I just look at my favourite artists' gallery--sometimes they don't post it as tutorial but step-by-step drawings--just have to filter through them. good luck to us both!
