The Jardin des Plantes in Paris is many things in one : botanical garden (of course), public park, school, zoo, part of the renowned Muséum national d'histoire naturelle... Among other delights, it hosts a long promenade in the French classical style, lined with trees and flower beds. Here, the isolated blossoming tree in the background, either an early- or a late-bloomer, proved a sheer magnet for hanami-devoted photographers and selfie-takers. Keeping a distance allowed the various colours of this beautiful day to be enjoyed more fully.
