This is my latest digital painting using Affinity Photo, Paintstorm Studio “Holidays 2019”.

Digital Painting

Styles used: Digital version of Bob Ross’s wet on wet.

Software used: Affinity Photo, Paintstorm Studio to get the desired affects I wanted.

    1.       Laid out sketch in AP, exported to Photoshop PSD file, use PSD file so as to transfer between programs (AP, Paintstorm & Painter) to achieve the affects desired.

    2.       Started with solid Midnight Black, blend = Multiply

    3.       Added new layer filled with Phthalo Blue background in AP, blend = Multiply

    4.       Moved painting between AP, Paintstorm in order to get the layer I was working on just the way I wanted it.

    5.       Copyright and Signature layer embedded, blend = Multiply

    6.       All layers when finished painting are taken into AP for enhancement.

    7.       After all layers are finished including enhancement in AP, they are merged into one layer then I go through one more complete enhancement in AP.

    8.       The last layer added was Midnight Black the Blend = Darken Opacity = 71%

    9.       Added 2 masks, 1 for the lighted tree Blend = Reflect Opacity = 100% / The wreathes on barn Opacity 100% / the 2nd mask is for the Barn and Fences Blend = reflect Opacity = 35% / Snow on Barn roof Opacity = 63 %

    12.   HSL

    13.   Contrast / Brightness

    14.   Shadows / Highlights

    15.   Curves

    16.   Resized painting to 10800 x 7200 300 dpi

    17.   Exported to JPG that you see.
