I find him very interesting as a character. The idea of a simple child be chosen by an eldritch horror to defend him and then him going on to become somewhat of a horror himself, is so memorably disturbing. I love and hate how despite all the horrible things he did you can still a mere child in there. In mother 3 he reminds me of Tithonus, a man who his given immortality but continues to age until he's a rambling prune. In some myths he turns into the first cricket, i wonder if something similar will happen to porky.
