WOW the stones to the left appear as columnar Basalt like our Giants Causeway. You are wise to take care as there has already been a landslide.
The foreground is dark but does not detract from the beauty of the valley floor. That is rich in colour, texture , line and structures.
What are the grasses with flora in the foreground. ?

This is a very neat area. This canyon has a trail that runs, I want to say 6 miles long end to end? I may be a little short on that. Both dirt and paved. There are two parks so far that are along the trails, an amphitheater, baseball fields, tennis courts, Frisbee Golf, a dog park, soccer field, skate park...I feel like I'm missing something, but that's all I can think of. It's a neat little canyon. I live just above it.
