Hmmmmm, well, I'm not too happy with this one. I wanted to color some of my stuff so it would stand out more, but unfortunatly I chose to use color pencils on a regular sketch pad. If I had bristol board it might have come out more smoothly...I tired, but that paper is terrible for blending not to mention those horrible little white spots everywhere. Needless to say, I regreted coloring it right away...I was quite fond of the sketch and lost most of the detail with the poor color job. Oh well, I did stay up late doing it (You can tell I was getting tired.....I skimped on the background and hoodie)so I thought I'd post it anyways.It's kind of a pretty shoujo type version of Kiba (From Naruto)....I like switching styles around, its fun. Anyways, hopefully I'll put a better one of him up soon. Hope you Kiba Fans out there aren't too upset O.o

This pic totally caught my eye! The style is very unique, even if you were just going for shoujo--- maybe the original sketch was better, but the color is what made me want to see it close up.

I dunno about pretty shoujo style, that's not what came to mind when I saw this XD The eyes are different, true, but the way you drew the rest of the face makes it look like a semi-realism style

Gorgeous! His lips make me really happy lol, and I love his eyes. You have a real talent for merging anime with realism, specially in the eyes. They look perfect and really go with the rest of the proportions. Alot of people can't do that, some features may look real but others are to anime style. if you know what I mean. But you, you've got it downnnn! lol.
Great job on this, even if you don't care for it much yourself, I think its awesome. Good work

Thanks! I'm glad you like my style. I mess around alot, but this is kind of my defult style for doing anime/manga characters. I'll probably do a few that are just totally manga style too for fun, since that style is so flexible and amusing. In retrospect, I like this one alot more now. But when i posted it at 5 am, I felt kinda frusterated and cranky from the color pencils. I also couldn't decide if i wanted to makes his pupils small like in the anime, but I'm glad i went witht his. I was think along the lines of sassy puppy Dog.

The colouring is like 100x better in real life. You are SO good with coloured pencils, you should really do it more often! I liked the softer colours in his face, even though you only used one colour you said, the different pressures made it look like a lot more!

Thanks! XD! yeah, that hair is my least favorite part. I was trying to maintain his dark hair color and detail and in the process lost a lot of highlight. Also, he hads that hood and I was trying to account for some shadow. I think once I work with better paper I can solve this problem. But I tried harder on my Hinata piece and it came out a bit better.

I love how you've done the eyes. x_X And yea, colored pencils are a drag on normal sketch paper. I've never used bristol before, but I know first hand how evil plain old sketch paper can be. >> <<
Despite all that you say is wrong with it. I think it's turned out wonderfully. Better than what I could do with colored pencils... Just the orignial drawing looks far better than what I could have done. Congratulate yourself, you've survived in the war against the colored pencils >> <<
