This is fantastic and amazing <3. I really love the old-school 90s anatomy; I really miss the skinny-lanky, but over-exaggerated features of stuff like Slayers, K.O. Beast, and VS Knight Ramune and the such, and this is so reminiscent of it it hurts. Dudes in short tunics ftw.

Yeah, I was feeling a nostalgia for that kind of shoujo-esque lanky look.  I was never much of a fan of the exaggerated features (though I was a huge fan of Slayers despite that, back in the day) but I loved the long limbs for some reason.  And of course, I miss the pants-less lifestyle.

Yeah, I could never draw that style, but goshdarn if I don't love seeing it. Also, Slayers is so good that the art shouldn't have been an issue because them characters and that story were hhhh.

Of course, the old style is the best, but I actually really like the artist they chose for Echoes. It feels closer to the heart of Fire Emblem than the past two games at least.

And yeah, I think the art direction for Echoes is vastly preferable to the ones for Awakening and If, but I just really enjoy old-ass anime styles from the 90s and earlier haha.

Yeah I agree with you, imagining the character style like FE3-5 and the rendering style like Radiant Dawn or Echoes, that'd be ideal for me haha.

I'd want a lot of the gameplay improvements from awakening and such, but I'd want things to remain artistically old school.
