I never got how people could love Trixie and hate Blueblood. It might be gender related, it might be classism, but in any case, it sure ain't rational.

Its easy, Trixie is very mean, she lies, Tells everyone that she is better then other ponies, She is not rich, she goes town to town to entertained, She wants to be famous. Make you wonder of her past? Why she lie about ursa major and why she is mean to other ponies. Something happen to her in the past that she is now alone.
Prince Blue Blood is Royal Snob that gets everything that he wants. Doesn't care of other ponies and he was not Gentleman to Rarity. He has no past what he became he just a Royal pain in the neck.

Turn that around: Blueblood didn't care enough, but Trixie went out of her way to humiliate and hurt other ponies to feel good about herself. She's worse than he is; after all, HE didn't make Rarity cry. And if you don't like him for being a rich snob - well, that's the classism I was talking about.
Also: I didn't wonder about her past, I was too preoccupied with her deplorable behaviour in the present. And even if I did think about that, wouldn't that just be making up excuses?

People can be cruel because in the past was cruel to her. Think of Prince Zuko He was a pure bad guy in the beginning, but seeing his past we felt sorry for him.

Who says Trixie had a bad past? We don't know anything about her past. For all we know, she could have gotten everything she wanted and was raised a spoiled brat too when she was a filly, just like Diamond Tiara. In fact, given the kind of show this is, that seems very likely.
I agree with Reifgrimm. Blueblood simply didn't care or know any better, but Trixie was intentionally mean to ponies for her own pleasure, just like Diamond Tiara is too the cutie-mark crusaders.

When somepony lies about what she did, might have something more to hid. You don't know about trixie past but we can't see her actions and attitude. She is very angry of other ponies and tells them that she is better. The question why? she does a magic show on a wagon, with fire works, a stage street performer, alone and why Trixie she wants to be famous why? Why trixie is down mean to others and alone doing a something that is not making her rich. You can make some being down my the past. Only the Creators of the show will tell us what she really is and the fandom made her a character with a trouble past, some of us want to hug her. Blue Blood I see no hope for him even a royalty are trained to be a Gentlemen and be Polite, for crying out loud blueblood is Princess Nephew he should have the same kindness that she is. Trixie is not spoil just cruel and cold something turn her in these path I bet when you ask her where she came from she will tell you that she is from the high elite family of canterlot But is not true, she just said to show you that she is better then you and why would she to do that? Blue Blood is not coming back and Trixie will come back that what the cast and Lauren said. Makes you wonder why bring Trixie back.

I really think you are over thinking Trixie. She is no more complex than Diamond Tiara or Gilda. She does what she does because she likes to and she is a brat. The fandom gave her a back-story because THAT'S WHAT FANDOMS DO TO CHARACTERS, but more then often, fandoms are completely off on a character's actual back-story. And the reason they are bringing Trixie back is because THE FANS WANTED IT!
And as for Blueblood, I really don't see much difference between him and other Canterlot upper-class ponies, like Jet Set, Upper Crust, Hoity Toity, ect. Just because he is Celestia's distant nephew doesn't mean anything. She didn't raise him, his parents did, and his parents probably spoiled him. Also, Blueblood DID come back. He appeared next to Rarity in the episode 'Sweat and Elite' in season 2, and he could be in season 3 too.
Anyway, you might disagree, and you are entitled to that, but I LOVE TrixiexBlueblood more than any other ship.
