For those with a cartridge, they need to make sure the cartridge is in the Switch, and then go to the home screen. From there, highlight the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate icon and press the start button. Then scroll down to βEarn Points (Game Card version only),β at which point 80 My Nintendo Gold Points will be redeemed. This should also trigger an email with the Piranha Plant code to be sent. The email can take up to 10 days to send out though, so fans shouldnβt panic if they havenβt received their code just yet.
If they bought the physical version of the game, they have to redeem their My Nintendo Gold Points by January 31st, 2019 to claim their code for the character.
