Description my new project idea got postponed. The storm came and blew my equipment down ( we were going to shoot out in a field across the street from the studio ), it rained hard, and well my idea would not happen that day. Marguerite did Jen's make up, she was ready to do something, my friends/crew were there and I had time so I felt the pressure to do something. I am not one for just shooting anything because I have to see an idea before I do it. Random shoots scare the daylights out of me. Worse yet, the only studio to shoot in was the cyc room in back, which is all white. Nothing to work with in that room. I need a set. I need something in a frame other than a model, even if its a color or a shadow, something. Can't exactly do that with an all white room ( no, there were no black curtains for all you Cream fans ).

So I used the lowest setting on my AB400 ( the smallest of the AB units ) and it was still too light. Ugh, what to do? Jen then says "lets do something like a paparazzi" so I was saved. Lets blast the hell out of the frame with lights. So I lined up 4 strobes and pointed them right at the camera ( I removed the light stands in post ). Add some Lightroom presets and crop. No white room left .

I am not sure what I think of this shot. Do the strobes just floating in the air throw people off? It was suppose to be the flash on top of each person's camera, but it never lined up.

Special thanks to ( from left to right ) Danielle ( friend and for some reason holds a camera really sexily....yes thats a word......shut up its my page Ill do what I want) , Jason ( poor sap is behind Jen so I didn't get him in the shot ), and Marguerite ( the make-up artist/dancer/musician check out my wikked evolution shots, she the creator of that group )

strobist info: um all the lights are in the shot. Power set to random settings and PW fired all

May I use this photograph for something, if I keep the credit at the bottom intact?
