Description
Persephone (or Proserpina in Latin). Daughter of Zeus and Demeter, the goddess of springtime who was abducted by Hades.She married Hades and was crowned Queen of the Underworld at his side, only returning to the surface world for six months out of the year (thus we have springtime).

Yeesh, Greek mythology in English is getting to me
Persephone is my favorite Greek Goddess (with Athena trailing at a close second) simply because her double role fascinates me. The Goddess of springtime, also the queen of Hell. Interesting, eh?----------------------------------
Took me forever. Drew out by hand, CGed, colored-penciled, CGed some more....finally ended up with two versions. This is my favorite of the two--cause I like the antiquity of the watercolor and the darkness and grittiness it brings to the picture. FULL VIEW PLZ or you'll miss detail ^^,
