I was wide awake at 4 am... exhausted but completely unable to sleep. It occured to me Knox must be needing someone to reach out to him, let him know he's not all alone. *huggles him*I wrote the story for my blog... and made the image for Knox of Knox. ^_^

The Story:
She sat staring at the blank white word doc on her computer screen blankly, her mind hardly upon the alabaster there. Her mind, scattered as it always was, drifted far away, upon someone few knew even existed⦠and a song which, upon first hearing it, reminded her of him. It haunted her still⦠and the lines of it ran through her thoughts.

She sighed. She hadnβt seen him in weeks, not since she had been falling apart and he had taken her away from it all, and with a single white rose delivered her from herself. She wondered what he was doing, and if he was alright. Though he might seem so tough and self assured, she knew perfectly well, even if no one else did, that the sarcasm was a shield he used to keep others at bay. He did not want to let anyone get close to him, would not let them. As much as he would refuse to believe it, he was afraid of getting hurt, afraid that someone would break his heart. That fear was not an unfounded one, for in his lifetime she imagined that such had befallen him more often than he would ever admit.
But she understood, perhaps as no one else except Lokei ever could. That duality of being, the paradoxical nature of existence. It was something she knew very well, and could see in him. Though he was the Lord of Chaos, and she but a simple mortal, some things were universal, transcendent of any corporeal or spiritual being. Something in her said that something was bothering him, and that he needed to know he was not alone.
She closed the word doc, knowing full well that chapter 21 would not be getting done tonight, again, and understanding that she had something much more important to do. So, opening Photoshop, she got to work with a soft smile, knowing it was her turn to return the favor he had done her a few weeks ago.
An hour of searching Deviant Art stock photos produced a promising model, though no one could ever capture the grace and beauty of her Chaos Lord. Still, she liked this one, and liked the look of short hair on Knox for a change of pace. After all, for all she knew it would be a different color and length next time she saw him anyway. Another hour of digital manipulation saw her project finished. She smiled again, in sleepy triumph, for it was well after five in the morning.
She posted the image where she was sure heβd see itβ¦ hoping it would make him smile, and remind him how much she would always love him. Knox; her personal Angel and Devil, her cathartic other half. He was as much a part of her as her heart or her soul, and the two of them were forever bound.
