My favorite pairings are Dean/Anna, Sam/Sarah, John/Mary, Bobby/Ellen, and Adam/Jo who are not up there

Dean is the best!
I once saw a commentary about the issue of Lisa - she's a one-shot character that they tried to shoehorn into a role she wasn't actually quite right for. Lisa was, essentially, a one-night stand (yeah, I know, it wasn't one night, but it was that sort of transitory relationship). The whole idea of Dean going home to an old flame after Sam was gone would have worked better if it was Cassie, because she was the girl he was willing to marry, not Lisa. Lisa was probably used because they kinda closed the issue on Cassie, and Lisa's actress was probably a lot more available, as was the kid who played Ben.
Personally, I'm a slasher, so I think Destiel makes better sense than Dean/Lisa. Actually, I don't have much in the way of het pairings in this fandom, this is my slash recovery fandom (I spent three years only reading slash between robots and not being able to read human slash). My het pairings? John/Mary, and somewhat weirdly, Sam/Becky. Everything else... Destiel, Wincest, Sabriel, Debriel, Wincestiel, Team Free Love... etc.

I do like the slash couples as well. I have written about both Wincest and Destiel. I agree(though I'm not a Cassie fan as well) it would have made more sense. Personally, I think the actress who played Lisa was not the greatest actress either. But Dean is the greatest!
