WHOA, why the heck is there not more fans coming to check this picture out?!!
Some amazing artwork on your part there RavenDANIELS and kudos to picking out Pearl from SU, she's a wonderful character and heck there's alot of charm to her especially in your own take of her here. I see you went with a pose we've seen a few times from the show with her spear by her side and that expression there just ready to get her battle on, wow!
Love what you did in terms of not just copying the show's style and linework of her but rather implementing some added realism and extra depth to help make her stand out, especially that pretty face! I enjoy seeing what other deviant's take on a character can end up doing and heck your pretty slick I'll say with your traditional media too!
Well for starters I really love the face but what about the rest of the pic? You seem very keen on keeping the body work for her trim body intact and rather good show paying attention to her outfit as well as the spear and it countless spins and twirls that make up its design. The hands look decent enough but for next time you might care to slightly round out the edges of them a bit more, they seem a bit sharp like claws and whatnot!
But don't let that slow you down, I mean to talk about the face and just a gorgeous job on those eyes. How you managed such very smooth and rounded eyes plus the simple shade of blue to make them dazzle is something else. Looking closer a nice touch where you added in a touch of shading in the white's of the eyes to make them feel more rounded out and great job on that.
Looking around elsewhere I see good shadowing touches to keep the idea of the light hitting her in good standing and your very wise to have threaded out her hair with the light and darker colors so it looks like it has some flow to it just like when you look at the skin. My biggest cheers to you is just the overall coloring and just the lines looking so damn clean and perfect. Only bring that up because traditional media has no undo button so having those clean lines are a huge for an artist who doesn't do digital.
Lastly, very lovely work on that background with the red and white you chose. The white isn't too light that it stands out more then Pearl's skin and for some reason I can't help but think of Rose when you use the pink. Either way you take it, its a great picture and done well by you RavenDANIELS , bravo!

Since Rose was such a big part and influence in Pearl's life I just had to include her
in some way. Rose was probably one of the first to give Pearl respect (with the
whole "My pearl" saying). I really want a episode of how they met so bad!

Don't act so coy, your one one very skilled deviant and I have a knack it seems to look on the DA and throw down comments to the many talented people we have on the site, yourself included. And by now you should be used to feedback like this if you ask me, lol.
And no big concern over the hands, I know just as well how hard those dank things are. Just like with feet they are a huge nuisance at times but just take your time with them, break them down into basic blocks and heck even use your own hands and a mirror next to you just to double check how it should look! You'll get used to hands in time and the very least your actually drawing them where earlier deviants just try and hide them, bleh. Sharp nails it is then! ^O^
Certainly glad to have caught the hint of Rose your sprinkles into the picture and by all means we do need more time shown to character like Pearl for her huge backstory just like practically every other character on the show. Both her and Rose show great connections even after Rose has left so there's still pieces we have to pick up that Pearl hasn't revealed. All the more better I say! Keep you watching and make sure you get ready for the feels next time we get the new Steven Universe episodes around! *high fives*
Just as well with all our talk here I just hope you read me out here or perhaps before when saying you need to keep up the good work. You show alot of potential and skill in your coloring, line work and being able to pick up small and important touches that show you care for the characters you draw. That will make you a great deviant and I know you can do it Raven, good luck. *tips hat*
