That purple highlights in black fur. It's a rarely used combo but I love it so much. It gives the wolf mage an ethereal (<-I learned that word from you!!) presence. *gives cheek scratches to wolf mage* *and cookies to the amazing fox artist*

Black is usually given more depth when other colours are added (if you're using straight up black, in formal nature illustration, black should never be used to create the impression of dark spaces but eh rules are made to be broken aren't they?)

The scan unfortunately didn't do this creature much justice (I'm still getting used to what to alter in Photoshop to achieve accurate rendering on all my black animals but I'm not good at it!) but those violets + the gold eyes were awesome to colour in.

Aww I hate when the scanner messes up a good colouring job. But the loveliness does manage to come across thank goodness! Photoshop is very useful haha. Practise makes perfect. ^^
