The Paradise Parrot was a very colourful, woodland parrot, endemic in Australia. It went extinct due to hunting and human habitation in 1927. Here it is, depicted in totem form, a rare illustration of a bird that is no longer, evoking its spirit and energy.

This piece is crafted on sturdy bend and damage-resistant Crescent 100% rag, completely acid-free, gallery quality illustration board, with watercolour pencil, pencil, water-fast fineliner, and acrylic and iridescent paint.
A4 (20.5 x 29 centimetres / 8.7 x 11.4 inches). Includes an approximate half-centimetre border around the image to assist in framing.
