Hope you can relate to this one also.Today grandma gets buried. I've bought some flowers with a note saying 'bon voyage'. I have no idea if thats something outrageous to leave on her grave. In fact, I've never been to a funeral before. I've spent too many years studying science/medicine and 95% of my square brain tells me there is no afterlife, it all ends with death. Still I hope her journey has just started!

I've never been to a funeral, too. I believe I'm lucky for that.
Also, i feel the same. Everything i've learnt so far tells me that death is "game over" ... but some little naive part of me wants that it isn't like that.

This image is just so beautiful..it's one that really speaks to me right now , especially after your personel comment at the end. It reminds me of a line in the poem I read for David "Dont mourn for now , for now i'm free" the figure (even though siloueted) looks so happy , the movement of the material , and her pose give a real sense of...well freedom , and also letting go. The colours are absoloutly stunning , the colours of a new begining. I'm not religous , but death makes you think...

I've had this in my message center so that I could view it every day when I visit dA. This is just such a beautiful image, carefree and at one with nature. Love the sunset and the curves of the silhouette .. its just absolutely gorgeous and would love this as a print.

I love the the golds and yellows in the sunset, and how the cape is sort of blowing in the wind. It conveys a sense of freedom, I think.
