Wanted to experiment with a different technique using roughed up patterns as extra layers to my typical flat vector look. I took an older piece, added the patterns, and rearranged the image with a new typeface I drew up fashioned after old Soviet propaganda poster styles. Here's the results...Related content

Anyway. I love it how this resembles the socialistic propaganda posters! Is that too far fetched? Well, the style is also very original and the use of the patterns and colours is wonderfull. A fantastic piece of art!

This is very interesting. It reminds me of 1984, and the ubiquitous posters claiming "Big Brother is watching you!" Nice work...very well thought-out.

I like it. Before I read your comment, my first thought was the writting was a bit flat and all you need is to add is a copy of it in a dark tone behind it off shoot to the left or right. But that's just preference, not really necessary. Great piece, grabs you. I'm going go check out your other stuff and see your normal "flat look"

Very nicely done. The type face works. I like the distressed look that this has, and the pattern showing through is very nice.

The pattern adds some texture and complexity to this image and that typeface works well for the soviet propoganda style. I think you've found the next step in this image's evolution.

nice use of colours, striking image, the only thing i would criticise is the shapes on the face. I feel it i a little out of place. all in all great work
