Who doesn't love a good oxymoron in the title?

This was just an experiment to see what would happen if I tried to make a 2D bloom 3D. The result is a little strange, but I'll admit I'm rather proud of it. I like how the fairly calm and orderly outside progressively falls apart into icy chaos in the center. That's what happens when you are completely incompetent with 3D variations!

An Apophysis 7x fractal, with slight color modifications in GIMP. As with all my fractals, I highly recommend you zoom in for the best viewing experience.
