Yep coming home for Winter, then spring break too. I think I'm gonna bring Eva with me in spring break, but thats not final yet.

Sketch in pencil -> Inked in pen -> Scanned in -> Live trace -> Photoshop coloring -> extreme Live trace -> Expand function -> mess with points, then add some color to make certain spots pop out.

Thanks hehe, it was a looooong process. Majority done in Illustrator, but it was my first time actually using Illustrator. Learning the program while doing a big project was... interesting

haha yeah, I'll have to try that live trace thing. Is it a tool or an option for a different tool? And is it something you use with imported pictures or scanned images.

I think Live Trace works for any picture, and its a tool. Basically its Illustrator's way of finding all the points and vertexes of the picture. Just put a pic into a new doc or something, select it, then along the top bar there should be a button for live trace (you can hit the small arrow next to it to get pre-defined settings, or go into edit -> Live Trace -> Options I think to set your own settings). After you live trace it, hit the expand button and Illustrator will turn it into vector based and you can push and pull the points to edit it.
