Haha...that's always how it looked, though.
I always thought it was weird that on-screen his hair was pink,
and in the official art it was golden/orange/whatever.

Oh well, see, that's because of color and pixel limitation back then. His outfit had a shade of yellow in it (the gold/orange), so making his hair a yellow as well was kind of pretty much impossible back then. xD;;
...at least, i THINK that's how his outfit looked like. It's been ages since I played aLttP.
