Description
My first attempt at a speed painting. I started with a picture of an ocean and after much brushing and frustration this is what I got. ~5hr Everything came together in the last hour or so though

Thanks, I am just trying to get a handle on my wacom tablet... I still find myself being drawn to the pile of inks on my desk, they are so messy and wonderful.

Thank you, I was torn between a soldier or the Kool Aid guy. Red seemed to clash with the earth tones of the piece.

I think everything looks believable and the coloring is very skillful. The smoke or mist gives the picture and eerie and mysterious atmosphere. Overall I think the picture is great however there is something about the curtains that bothers me.

Thank you for your thoughts. I think the perspective of the window is off in general but yeah the curtains were an experiment. I was trying to play with the light shining on them from the door and still letting some light trough the window. It was fun though

I hope you realise this is amazingly good and powerfu - of course, im not sure how complex it was to complete - but it's very effective

The curtains were an experiment for me. It was fun trying to ballance the light shining trough them and the light coming through the door.

I would change the perspective mistakes; detail the table more; get rid of the smaller brush strokes and level out the level of detail. Also make the smoke more see through, its usually not as dense. And just in general add more detail and structure to the piece; but to be honest with this sort of thing you dont want to correct anything, just make a couple new paintings.
