ive never used charcoal. a little softer than pencil right? may have to try it one day. im also going to post some realistic drawings ive done. right now i like doing the cartoon horses.

This is lovely, beautiful shading and I really like the expression. I only wish the eyes were a bit bigger but that's most likely just me... I like this very much.

have you ever tried applying it in powder form with a paintbrush? thats how i do it.. it gives you a lot more control then you put the details in with the sticks or pencils..
