So with Last Notch on the way, I got to thinking about the cowboy town and what kind of cowboy town is complete without a bunch of ranchers? And what ranch is complete without chickens puckoo??

Last Notch so far is looking pretty arid though, like a rocky desert landscape. There's probably not a ton of water for the little fish chickens to hang out around. So I got to thinking... What if there were some puckoo that adapted to this environment? Trade their fishy bits for some lizard bits and there you go! (and maybe a little roadrunner too but that's just personal preference)

So here are Sand Puckoo! Less fish, more lizard. Took the colors and patterns from leopard geckos. They feed off of the bacteria and such on quarry rocks (like normal puckoo) and/or they can filter feed through sand.
