Description I recently purchased a Pentax PK lens to Canon ring adapter for my Canon 20D after my Granddad gave me his old Pentax film SLR with a 50mm prime lens and a Macro lens.

I didn't want these lenses to go to waste, so I got the adapter. This was taken while still in the process of messing about with the "new" lenses, and was taken with the 50mm Prime.

i have only one question? but how does it measures the aperture and focal length and displays it in the EXIF? if it is an manual lens? a have a Helios manual lens 58mm, but it doesn't show the aperture and the focal length...

I'm not actually sure. The aperture is wrong anyway, because the lens only goes down to f1.7. I think the reason it saves that sort of information is because the adapter ring has a sensor on it to allow for focus assist, so I assume that it just has a default reading for the camera to take, and that default is 50mm at f1.4. But it is definitely a 50mm prime, at f1.7.

I got confused aswell, so don't worry

thx a lot, a have only a "normal" adapter ring for this type of lenses. and i have one more question. does it "peep" in the right moment when it is in focus or the chip on the adapter ring is worthless?

Not 100% sure what you mean by "peep" lol.
But the focus meter's inside the viewfinder in the camera flash when its in focus.
