just a few hours of clean up left, but it's pretty darn close now...I changed the rider a bit...
I like the position that he is in a lot better now.
Before it was a little confusing...
I also changed his back so now he has an alga like fur on his back instead of the gill baffle thingies..
Added a few bumps, moles, etc.
Hope you like it...

The arm is changed again, but I also made even more of a story out of it as well.
I'm using Castilene to sculpt it with, but I'll have them cast in resin.

Priceless expressions, wonderful execution. Looks like you did quite a few tweaks and revamps since the WIP image. You're going to hate me, but I think I prefer the original pose of the eyeball lizzy guy from the WIP. None the less, no matter, you have sharp photos of both versions. I adore them both. You inspire my friend, thanks as always for sharing this brilliance with us

I've been going a few different directions with the pose and actually changed it again this evening.
I'm not going to post the sculpt now till it's all done, but I think you'll like what I'm doing.
It actually will tell a little more of a story now too.
I put the hand back on the saddle horn and a few different places and nothing seemed comfortable till this last idea popped in to my head.
When I have both hands on the saddle horn, it kept looking to chunky or blobby (not sure what word I should use to describe it) and confusing.
When I post the finished version, let me know what you think of my change. It's drastic, but I think it's going to work the best of all the postiions...

There's a few more tweeks here and there, plus some tight clean up, but it's getting close.
I'm considering putting his hand back up on the saddle horn, but not sure yet.
The story is that he is patting his fish kind of like people do with horses to calm them down...
I'm thinking of posting a journal and getting feedback on what everyone thinks, but may just leave it...

I like the hand in the patting pose, but the hand on the saddle horn worked too. With him patting the fish it gives it even more character, though--it gives the two of them a connection, like there would be between a cowboy and his favorite horse.

Actually last night I changed it again though...
I added a little extra something to make it even more of a cool story.
I'll be posting pix of that soon.
I think you'll like the direction I took it.
