I think a new type would be cool, but it would take a lot of adjusting and it would mess a lot of things up

I just think the concept of a light type is really stupid, I always thought of electric as light type, it's not 100% the same but it's close enough that I think making a completely separate type for it would be a stupid idea.
A new type really wouldn't make sense either, why release it so late in the series?

Yeah, light would be too similar to electric, I mean look at Lanturn and Volbeat, two of the many pokemon who would have to change their types just to make that work

Its evolution method and its type are both said to be a secret. So people are saying it's a new type. Light would make sense since it was shown around rainbows and sparkles. But a new type this late on in Pokemon would be weird. Oh well, I love the design and uuuuugh October hurry uuuup
