Description The Lamborghini Centenario was one of the stars of Geneva, but sadly one that few of us will ever get to see on the road. Only 40 will ever be made, 20 coupse like the one shown here, 20 of the roadster which will be revealed in the US in August, and if you want one, bad luck, because all 40 have already been sold at a private preview event last year. 770hp from a V12 powerplant with four wheel drive and looks to turn just about any head, but it leaves me with one very big question - with the Hurican, Aventador, Veneno, and now the Centenario, just how much more extreme can Lamborghini take things? It'll be fun finding out.

I got three good snaps of this car and couldn't decide which to post, so I'm going to make some happy Lamborghini fans and share all three. Hope you like them!

Thanks very much! Lamborghini are pretty good about providing wide open, well lit spaces for their cars, it's always a pleasure to visit their stand!

You actually get to see a Lamborghini Centenario and you only took three pictures? that is some impressive restraintΒ  I'd take five hundred, and spend the next month or two moaning about all the angles I didn't captureΒ

Gotta be fast when you're covering a show in one day! But there may have been a few more than three, I just got three really good ones. That Lamborghini stand is a busy place!

I always find it so annoying how whenever there is an awesome car at such an event, there will almost always be a huge crowd in close proximity to it's front

Always - at least Lamborghini tend to be quite open plan with lots of sides to watch from, many of the others are quite closed in and even more difficult. A bit of patience, though, and you can usually slip to the front as folks move on.

I have a very Canadian problem of being way too courteous when it comes to that, I always let people barge right in front of me without anything more then a frown of disapproval

I usually have a typically British approach; we're very good at queueing. But a little patience can go a long way!

Lamborghini haven't shown any signs yet of running out of ways to one-up themselves and do something even more ridiculous and extreme than the last thing... which sure keeps things fun and delightfully bonkers. ^^ Really great side shot.

Yeah, the numbers keep inexorably increasing bit by bit. I wonder what's next...?

I wonder too! I doubt they'll start disappointing us anytime soon though. Lambo's generally tended to stay true to their N/A V12's and such, but if they do start to dip into turbocharging and/or hybrid drives... I'm sure it'll hack off the purists but I'd just Lamborghini to be able to still make it delightfully mad and stylish. Either way it'll be neat to see where they go!

Well they did say that they wanted to the Centenario to stay as a high-revving V12 to stay pure to Lamborghini's ethos, but with the mounting array of impressive hybrid performance cars out there like the Porsche 918, McLaren P1, and Ferrari LaFerrari, you have to assume that someone at Lamborghini is looking at putting the next evolution of that technology to use.

Yeah, that's what I'm wondering too. In the face of all those it impresses me that Lamborghini has stayed pure to their tradition for so long, but it does seem like they'll have to test the waters at some point!

This V12 monster is just as insane as I had hoped it would be. Nothing less of what I would expect from the raging bull of the automotive world.
And I still can't believe that this is road legal! Β

Road legal, yeah, but maybe not road sensible! I can't imagine a road you'd be able to get the full experience of this car from, but even so it's such a masterpiece, I really hope those 40 lucky individuals who get to own one appreciate and enjoy their purchase!
