Description There's not much to be said about Huabeisaurus. The described remains show an odd trend of cervicals becoming shorter in height near the base of the neck, rather than maintaining or increasing in height as with most sauropods, culminating in unusually small anterior dorsals. While generally thought to belong in Euhelopodidae, recent studies have put the titular and most complete member of the family outside Somphospondyli entirely (e.g. Moore et al., 2020), leaving Huabeisaurus to be reconstructed after other, fragmentary relatives.
