Oh! Thats a headcanon thingy of mine, than whenever she uses magic some strange runes appear on a part of the body she is concentrating then magic in.
For example: If she wants to more earth she can concentrate the magic on her feet and the runes appear, showing where the magic is more concentrated.
I've done this with Hestia since her very first fire magic attempts and none of the mods said is not allowed. But something that is totally not OK is to make the runes permanent.
