Reminds me of the enormous three-headed dog Hagrid called Fluffy. It´d have been far cooler if he´d adopted a huge version of one of these!

PFFF, if he had one of those, 3/4 of the viewers would run out of the cinema as soon as Fluffy appeared on the screen. But solifugids are generally underrepresented, I've only seen some in Dungeon Siege II and Skyrim so far.

The frostbite spiders are in fact solifugids. Yes, they spit poison, spin webs and have 5 eyes, but otherwise definitely solifugids (a lot of people unforately doesn't know the difference between those and actual spiders)

Hm. Too little movies with insects and spiders in the actual lead roles. Makes me think of the Ant Bully - a kid´s animation, but pretty correct most of the time. I´d love a more adult insect movie.

As well as the jaws being chelate (hard to see, but once a frostbite spider landed on its side), segmented abdomen and huge pedipalps.

The uni introduced you to it? Gods, sounds like a really awesome place. I got my first contact with it in an eco-magazine that held an interview.

Preparations - check (you once reminded me of the reds´ ability to extinguish fire as well as starting it, material for Giblet´s fire fetish?). Anvil - included! Giblet wouldn´t be himself without that thing. And the hammer. And the kinky mask. XD

Giblet is the Netherworld´s white knight. XD I found him surprisingly polite and gentle while working with him - yes, he did bash Jinx´ skull in repeatedly, but he´s a pleasant guy overall.
The hernia band applies to me too, but if I can survive the idea alone, I´ll try it...

The embarassing part is that the main character in the action has the same name as the account, also the dirty parts came off as pretty stiff in my opinion. Well, very passive acting females and the need to be very gentle during the ride didn't exactly help in writing.
PFFF, the way greens land on their spiders was suggestive enough for me to call them spider humpers from then on.
