it had rained for several days. germany's typical spring weather...

sorry it was not only the rain. As I remember it was the end of february or beginning march in 1990. in this winter the black forest have had masses of snow. from one day to the other temperatures increased and it began to rain. but this was not the problem. too fast melting snow let swollen the rivers brigach and breg for very high flooding water. in these dramatical days, also a dam threatend to burst. fortunately the dam kept, so a big catastrophe spared people and places.
