Eh...dumb title...Anyways, this is a drawing of Raven I did in my notebook at school when I had free time *denies the fact that she doodles while the teacher's talking*. It was just a quick sketch at first, but it soon turned into something that took most of the day to complete, working on it ten or five minutes at a time O_o
Her angel wings are black, like a raven's I guess
. I'm not very good at drawing wings (and the scanner completely destroyed this picture) so please forgive me 
I'm also working on how I draw Raven, which is probably the reason for this picture in the first place.Raven © DC Comics and Cartoon Network

This isn't just about this one picture, I just happened to be on it at the time. I see in you a vast amount of potential as a proffessional cartoonist. You're very good already and there's nothing to do but get better. My one recommendation is that
you try to develop your own original characters and see how they come out. As for this picture, beautiful piece but you should try to spread out the wings more. They'll look more feathery.

Actually, I've created a few of my own characters, but I really haven't familiarized myself with them too much where I can draw them comfortably. I'm still trying to develop them so that I can put them in situations and images that will be interesting. None of them really have backstories or true personalities, because I'm lacking in that area

It's no problem. Really, I do by far more writing that drawing and such because it's just what I'm better at. Perhaps you would like to post some of you original sketches? I'd like to see them. And BTW: TEEN TITANS RULE

I don't really know what I do more of. I actually enjoy writing more than drawing sometimes, because when I get an idea, I can usually get it out into some form of words--and with drawing, it's sometimes more complicated than that, because I can never get the image to look just the way I want it. I have no idea which I'm better at, so I don't know if that applies at all or not xD
I've actually thought about posting some of my original stuff...but, most of it's unfinished, or...bleh. But, I've got ideas, I think, and I plan to get to work on them as soon as I finish stuff (if that makes any sense) O_o I'm glad you're actually interested in seeing them 
(and, to your "BTW" Yes! xD *is a nerd* )

Good job shading, and I think the dark wings make since on Raven as the light colored wings went with Star.
