Description
A commission for Adarkpassenger of their character Seiji showing off his electrical powers. His armor runs from the same vein of functionality as most JRPGs I imagine.I appologize to anyone who got two messages in their inbox, the upload went weird.

i like this. the lightening imparticular is very good. i do have a question though. on a basic beginners note, how did you produce that gray backdrop, as in what burshes or method did you use?

That's a different question. Uh, its relatively simple, I used two textures, one for the "ground" and another at a very low opacity over the rest of the BG (both likely set to overlay or multiply depending on how it looks) to add some grit and well "texture" to the area so it doesn't have that flat digital look. There is an under layer beneath that which has the values (shades/brights) and colors subtly worked into it (using a low opacity high blending brush like the watercolor tool in Sai) to compliment the colors/lighting and in the case of the ground reflect some of the light from the lightning. Hope that helps.

Yep this is awe inspiring and that is some use of tactical armor, and I like the pose and form set. Not sure what a jrpg is but this looks impressive all the same, it is a well done image with violet lightning effects.
