~ Species: Unicorn

~ Family: Raindrop Lily and Sugar Poppy (daughters)

~ Appearance: Very petite build, but more athletic than she appears. Her hazy plum coat is barely grazed by her tight steel blue curls, accented with streaks of turquoise and ivory.

~ Cutie Mark: Sacred symbols of the moon's cycle, intertwined with a delicate lotus.

~ Personality: Lotus is an enigmatic rubik's cube, having more facets to her personality than most can keep up with. She's mistakenly pigeonholed because of this, and therefore tends to only show the side that somepony is most accustomed to. Which Lotus do you know?

Lotus takes care of everypony, acting motherly even to those her own age or older. She adores animals, most of all her precious feline companion, Blanche. She enjoys learning about different cultures and customs, as well as cooking a wide range of cuisines from all across Equestria. She enjoys artistic hobbies such as painting, sculpting, music, and writing. She's fascinated by the sciences and is active outdoors, where she also collects various plantlife for potion making.

Lotus often finds herself designated a leader, despite not seeing herself as one at all, nor seeking such a role. She generally covers negative emotions with stoicism. Her biggest problem is taking on more than anypony could be expected to handle, and keeping it all bottled up to herself until it explodes. We all need help sometimes.

~ Occupation: Holistic healer. Lotus combines physical therapy, massage, counseling, nutrition to support body, mind, and soul.

~ Background: Lotus tends to keep her past locked away safe in her heart. Nopony needs to hear about that mess, or so she feels. However, this doesn't stop her from welcoming everypony else's life story over some tea, perhaps with some fresh pastries or other culinary delights. Long before becoming a rock for everypony else, she had become one for herself. A part of this process was finding her first love: the stars. They were often a comfort to her, though she had to sneak outside after bedtime to see them on clear cloudless nights. It was a form of meditation for her, before she even knew the concept of such things. It was everything and nothing all at once, a symbol of how much bigger the world is, and how many possibilities were waiting for her. Everything that could be, and will be.

Lotus has overcome too many obstacles in her life to let anything drag her down. Although it has been one after another, each testing her will more than the last, she recognises how it has also helped her grow and taught her countless invaluable lessons. Whether through academia or life experience, she believes knowledge is the greatest asset one can have. Because of this, she readily shares her wisdom with all who ask, keeping her quite busy helping friends, neighbours, and even complete strangers who need her guidance, but none more than her own daughters.

After her life gained two little pegasus daughters, she decided to practise a new form of magic that would allow her to live in Cloudsdale. It was exhausting, especially while raising two particularly energetic foals, but she's never shied away from a challenge. Her hard work paid off once again and she quickly became the talk of the city, which left her a bit overwhelmed. It was there that she began working as a physical therapist, soothing sore wings as well as egos. Sometimes she seems out of place and earns some odd stares, but she's well accustomed to that wherever she goes. Being different isn't something to be ashamed of and hide away, and if anyone can prove just how strong they can make us, it's Nocturne Lotus.
