I finally did it!! It's finally done!
This is a project I've been thinking on working for a very long time now, as a MV for Reimu.
I think it was since October? Am not sure, tried to backtrack and check but got nothing.

"Rain I can't see a thing, why is everything black?"
Yeah, so basically I had my brightness really high to shade this, it was horrible.
Then from no where, bam!, brightness, and I am blinded.

So yeah. Darkness, needing a light. The routine is a reference to the MV itself.
Night Light (or is it Nightlight? IDK how to spell) is one of my favourite Night Keepers song so I wanted to do it.

I tried formatting it weirdly?
The left is where the dejected Reimu is. The left is her side.
The right is where cello Reimu is. The right is her side.
The concept was that both Reimus were bound until one of them accepts the light and moves forwards.
Yeah. Not sure if that was a good idea or it translates well, but-

That said! I actually think I'm getting better at drawing cellos. These weren't as hard as they used to be, but still tricky. I took care to actually string them properly this time, hah. The bows still need work, but they're definitely better now.
I know with the angles, that first panel shouldn't actually exist, but whatever.

I wanted to make this one all nice and pretty, so I tried shading it for real again, this time using the watercolour brush.
I was going to give her lipstick but I was already exhausted, and ended up not adding that or the nails.
The hair ended up meh, I think. Passable though.

The lights look super bright, I need to find out how to draw those things properly.
I hope the panels are distinct enough though everything is drowned in darkness...

Also I should really give Reimu's school coord a name.
Still thinking like Harmonical Rose or something, but anyway I did not remember her dress having that much laces.

As for the dejected side, I went with a MRA brand coord. I was initially going to make all the dejected Reimus greyscale, and then get colours when touched by light, but I didn't want to bother editing it so I left it as coloured.
I also omitted the ribbons, eyewear and necklace from the coord. The eyewear is self-explanatory, the ribbons I actually missed, and I didn't want dejected Reimu to look like she has a lot of treasures so I didn't want to give her anything too precious looking.

IDK. I had fun shading this. Except the cello.
I still can't shade cellos.
