This is the main railroad from Kassel to Leipzig in the center of Germany. The city here is Leinefelde. In the past it was a important transport nodes.

I read in Europe long ago trucks displaced trains for freight.
And as for passengers, it's like Germany is now going through what North America went through a long time ago. I always hear that Germany has one of the best passenger rail networks, DESPITE also having the best (and fastest) highways (is it true that on the Autobahns, the speed limit is just a suggestion?)
