I like the contrasts between colors and textures. It's a beautiful image.

It's a really stunning picture.. I like the combination of rough elements (stones) and ephemeral elements (I'm not sure if this is the right word.. but I mean wood). - It's so grounded and the colors are awesome!
So it's just my pleasure! Thanks for your capturing!
Hope you've had a great day.

Thanks, it's the same for me.  It was a cloudy/rainy day and the colors of the yellow lichen growing on the wood was amazing.   I had to really hold myself back in the editing.  This is actually less color than was there, it just looked so unreal that I think everyone would have thought that I pushed it too far.

Yeah, I see what you mean!  I also thought if you maybe had edited the colours before, because it looks so crazy; but I guessed you've not.
I've never seen such yellow lichen; I thought it's resin or something like a fungus.. or a rust film?! x) [Where I live it often looks like copper-green]

It must be feeding on sap that has  come out of the wood,  as it appears by the locations.

Alga for photosynthesis and fungus for water.  I had forgotten that...that's not good for one trained biology.  Ah but I never was really a plant guy.

I've seen it on stone alone with the green lichen.  I call it "yellow" but it goes to an orange (as in this picture) which you will see more often.
