Nakasako-san, the leader of the Parsee Project, asked me to use link for the book as well, but since it's an oekaki, it wouldn't print very well. So I made a new picture, an "upgraded version". Took me all day, but this should look better in the book

Well, actually she has no real choice, since she doesn't have much of a consciousness any more. Drifting in the wind like a fleeting emotion, only perceived by those that look directly at her, and forgotten as soon as they look away.

There's just something about Kamina that makes him perfect for cameos. I don't see it working for like Kouji or Ryoma but Kamina's just perfect

I posted a page from a Touhou fanzine I made (Perish This Night) over at Shrinemaiden, someone there saw it and showed it to this Nakasako guy who he met at Comiket. Nakasako liked it, and invited me to join the Aki Anthology.

It looks like youve spent a good deal of time on this piece, but personally I feel that it's become too cluttered, every character is fighting for the viewers attention. Its not as focused as the original version.

Yeah, but that's a bit what I wanted. It's becoming a bit too much for little Parsee. But I see what you mean. I did it all in one day, actually, but sure, it took 9 hours or so.

hmm creator contacted you in japanese? I have read info from pixiv you used to learn some japanese, but still not very good at it
anyway thing goes about colours and image sharpness, since I'm responsible for printing stuff I know how hard is get those two looking good
anyway I'm guessing that "last book" is probably not avaible locally

No, Nakasako speaks English. I know a little Japanese, have been taking lessons once a week the last two years, but it's hard and slow.
The "last book" is the Aki Sisters Appreciation Anthology produced last year. There were several international artists contributing, like with this book, and I sort of happened to be in the right place at the right time and got in.
The book will have a couple of color pages in the beginning, printed on glossy paper for higher quality, and colors and lines looked very good in the other book, at least.

yeah glossy paper will be good for colours, but I already see small problem, will be bit pain in the ass for person who gonna print it - dark brown areas is hard to make in CMYK, not only 3 colours have to be correct, but also there will be lots of paint, drying problem and making colours shown properly
but that's from technical information, if would use glossy paper then would go at 120g/m2 or more since at 90 usually can see what's on other side is sheet

I don't think there will be a problem... It will have a proper printing and binding at a printing press. It's a 200+ pages book, printed in hundreds of copies. But sure, I know some colors come out worse than others in CMYK. Blues and greens can be a problem too. If someone did it on his home printer for a smaller fanzine, it could be troublesome.

ok, from my experience amounts less than 1000 are bit hard to keep proper colours, also it depends of printing house policy
