My visualisation of the Dalish Elf origin Grey Warden, Lyna Mahariel, inspired by the RPG Dragon Age: Origins, created by game developers © Bioware and EA.

The hair, facial tattoos, armour and bow I painted from scratch! (Please be kind!) Standing in for the Brecilian Forest is a photograph I took at the Linn O'Dee, near Braemar, Grampians, Scotland.

Thank you! I clocked a rediculous number of hours of gameplay with Dragon Age and spent quite a bit of time in that Dalish armour!

That armour was my first attempt at painting anything in...well...a LONG time...!!!

Yeah.... I think that I am slowly developing my own look... 'tis a bit storybook-ish methinks- heavily textured, slightly antique with just a touch of old-school goth... ...and highly likely to change radically at any given moment! But the Dragon Age stuff- well, I'd like to keep these ones thematically similar. That tablet is almost my b*#ch! How's your magic tablet behaving??? I haven't seen any new pics from you in the last few days! Or are hammering away at the keyboard instead?

I love that storybook style of yours! The texture works really well, you haven't overdone it. It reminds me of medieval paintings I thought you would get that tablet under control and you have! lol

My tablet still needs significant taming....or maybe its my drawing skills that need improving lol Seriously, it's just awesome, and I'm really happy with the quality. I'm still experimenting with different stuff tho. I haven't posted anything since Trophy, but I've been working on some greeting cards. When I've created a few more I'll put them up on here I've been very slack with actually typing out the story, though it is unrolling in my mind lol I'm getting some wonderful feedback, so I'd better take it seriously!

I'm glad you like my pics, Dru! I'm trying to raise the bar a little with every one... so fingers crossed I can continue to do that... Still got such a long way to go though- and I am really hoping to incorporate increasing amounts of straight out digital painting in each piece... 'til eventually that's all it will be! (Talk about ambitious!)

That's wonderful news to hear that you're happy with your tablet! I'm looking forward to your next masterpiece! The greeting cards sound most intriguing... shall I expect to see some pretty or are you still feeling the pull towards the darkside?

And... best you get to work and expunge those storylines from your brain lest it overload!!! (Or you forget all those wonderful imaginings!!!)
