reminds me that scene in the movie when Batou rescues her from the angry big spidertank... i dunno how their dialogue was in original or in english, but when they talk and she's down on the flooded ground, translating from my language to english was a bit like
Batou- "you look really bad"
Major- "i've had better days..."

I hope you refer to the original animation movie, it's one of my favorite movies!! and the version they did in Hollywood is disgusting

yep, while of course yours is based on the anime series yep the scene was in the 1995 movie, not in the last one nor in the (allow me to be frank xD) really useless Ghost in The Shell 2.0, the original with just the interfaces turned from green to orange and the adding of not really great looking CGI (cause Mamoru Oshii is a great guy but has this goddamn baffling idea to put cgi in his works to "make those parts more mechanical and synthetical looking" ... no. no. wrong! xD)
no problem, it's a pleasure to comment such great art, and an inspiration (also i wish i could color as good as you do xP)

I also liked the animated series that they did some time later, "stand alone complex" think it was called,
it feels different to the movie but it really liked it. The script of the chapters seemed fantastic and a good animation.

yep i think it's been one of the best and highest quality all around series of the 2000s so far 
they were two series with different overall plots, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Second Gig
seriously, Oshii, cut the titles short XD that guy made long titles even before light novel adaptions with hour long titles were even a thing
the last series they did, Ghost in the Shell, Arise... is... uhm ok, it's not bad at all, but it sort of lacks something i can't really pinpoint, and has some plot choices i dont like (but that's purely personal ofc)

i liked Innocence but the level of intellectual quotes in the dialogues and the mind messing moments weren't super easy to digest xD
