Well it's composition-relative, too. Like with your pictures "Bondage" and "I Love You", and even "Heart", there are really good expressions on their faces! Perhaps you should try to challenge yourself and draw lots of different expressions if that's what you think is a challenge for you, though. I think it would help a lot.

I don't really use references very often. I use them when I'm drawing a character or something that I'm unfamiliar with, but if you mean expressions or poses, I usually just imagine it. I should use reference more often, though, to improve my art. What do you do?

Do you ever draw an outline or sketch of what you're picturing drawing? I find this really helps me, since you don't have to worry about messing anything up since it's supposed to be a quick sketch. And it's not a bad thing to use reference, especially when you're as good at it as you are, like with your oil paintings! I'm jealous of your talent with oil paint, you really have a true talent at it. >.>

yeaaa i draw sketches.. >.< i can get the rough look .. its mainly when i start working on detail that i start going BLAH xD

Yeah, it's hard to keep that nice rough look and retain the rhythm and movement it has in the final product. And aww, don't say that! I think your oil paintings are beautiful. You have a lot of talent with it!
