"...A woman's life is filled with sadness and waiting"This is Kitsune from the novel The Fox Woman by Kij Johnson, a story about a fox who fell in love with a man so became human to win his love. It's set in feudal Japan.
This is also the entry for one of the themes of the 100 Pictures Challenge I'm doing.
