These were a quick Halloween fix. They have a cardboard base cut out in a wierd kidney shape and then a bunch of paper feathers hot glued on. They're not hard, the hardest thing was cutting out all the feathers. To attach them to my body I just had a centerpiece holding the two kidney shapes togetherwith holes through them with ribbon threaded through. My highschool art teacher liked them so much he pinned them on his wall of awesome. Thanks for the fave!

I'll do you one better, I'll link you to the tutorial that I based mine on, the tutorial is for ones with a foam base and fake feathers but the principle in roughly the same. You can make the wings bigger by making the base bigger, I wouldn't make them too large, or they would be too heavy and not have enough support. [link]

Yay! X3 About how many pieces of paper did you use? And what exact shape are the feathers?

I have absolutely no idea how many, I just cut them out until the wings were covered. as for the shape, they're sort of a pointed oval, longer for the pinfeathers and slightly smaller for the ones closer to the top. Just cut out the pointed oval and then fold them down the middle to get the raised look.
