Description Some old picture, that I didn't publish at the time. Done some 2 years ago, for the project Elveon. It shows Landfall of a mighty elvish race. My inspiration was Tolkien (of course), his NΓΊmenΓ³rean race. The Ship is my creation, based maybe on some greek or roman designs. Done in photoshop, in some 35-40 hours. There is a lot of details which takes me ages to do. Hope you will like it.

My reaction upon full-viewing:

Before I read your artists comments, I detected a hint of Tolkein in this. This is just amazing. It's so beautiful and wondrous.
The detail in your ships astounds me completely, as well as the time duration. It would take me a year or more to do something this detailed and this complex.
You're brilliant, and I love this.

aiselu [2008-03-19 12:20:39 +0000 UTC]

There are three things that bother me in this picture. One is how did the elves get down from that ship? I see no ladder or door. Second, how did such massive ships get on the shore? Though I don't know much about ships, so maybe it's possible. And third is the beams of light in the back. They don't look like they are coming from one source. Well they look a bit unnatural.
Anyway, I like the colors and those ships look great, so massive and detailed. I also like the towers and rocks in the background.

RadoJavor In reply to aiselu [2008-03-22 01:44:28 +0000 UTC]

They used ropes to get on land, and the ship can go on such a beach in high tide, water was some 4 meters higher. Generally its not an realistic picture, but more fantasy.
