Description
Some old picture, that I didn't publish at the time. Done some 2 years ago, for the project Elveon. It shows Landfall of a mighty elvish race. My inspiration was Tolkien (of course)
, his NΓΊmenΓ³rean race. The Ship is my creation, based maybe on some greek or roman designs. Done in photoshop, in some 35-40 hours. There is a lot of details which takes me ages to do. Hope you will like it.

Oars are too high. That makes it a hell of work for the oarsmen., nearly or already impossible. Based on the muscles inside a human body and how the oar system is working. Otherwise a great artwork!

Wow! I found this picture years ago when I was waiting for Empire Total War to be released, because I was searching for the concept art. I can't believe you're the guy who actually created it! Is it supposed to depict a specific event? I always thought it was supposed to be the fleet of Ar-PharazΓ΄n, King of NΓΊmenor, landing on the shores of Valinor, after breaking 'the ban'. It would would awesome if you ever created more pictures like this, depicting events from the Silmarillion.

Really beautiful ship design. In addition to looking great, all the ships look very solid and completely sea-worthy, which adds a lot.
You're immensely talented, and in addition to that talent, it's easy to tell that you also have put a great deal of effort and research into your work, and it shows.

Man, that is wicked! This honestly surpasses Alan Lee and John Howe's work! You can practically HEAR the gulls crying and smell the sea air! Brilliant! Spectacular! I've never seen a better rendition!

This is just gorgeous, and not a scene I've seen any Tolkien fan draw before.
Of course, after I'd admired it for the first few minutes, I did notice that the rocky beach looks like it'd rip the keel apart - so this would best fit a situation where you're committing to the new land completely and destroying your ships behind you.
But it took me a long time to look away from the ships long enough to think about it. This is glorious!
