Free-hand drawing on paper.

----------------------------------------------------------------------

FINALLY a new drawing! My boyfriend and I just bought a digital camera last night and thank god because you guys would never have been able to see this work!

Was bored one day I guess and I just felt like making a cool-looking eye. Then I figured how good would it look if it were just some floating eye in the center of a giant piece of paper. That's when I forced myself to draw the whole thing. Took awhile, but well worth it.

P.S. On a sad note, I couldn't find a frame for the original size so I had to crop the actual pic to fit it into a frame. Oh well...

Lines.
Lots
and
LOTS
of
lines.
I think that took me about two weeks to do? The key is to 'flick' the pencil. You kinda anticipate where your pencil will fly and you flick it in the direction you want the hair to go - pressure on the pencil creates the light/dark lines.

...if you want to know a secret; when you are drawing something for example, a hairline... flick the pencil TOWARDS the hairline you are trying to create, so that you don't have a fat pencil mark where your 'flicks' began. That way, it will be easier to erase, too if you make a mistake.

If that makes any sense
