Actually, changelings DO have opposite genders. Thorax is male and Ocellus is female, just to give you an example.

Also I think changelings are genderless too, because of their insect-like form. Maybe not all of them are genderless. They have queen (the one and only fertile female in hive) and drones. Maybe they also have a fertile males, like a bees or an ants, but nobody knows.
Oh, and one of drones can grow in the queen...
So, uh... Well... Thorax is a new queen of Changelings' hive?
